Influenza

What Is It?

Influenza, commonly known as the flu, is a viral infection that affects the respiratory system, impacting areas such as the nose, throat, and lungs. It’s essential to note that influenza is distinct from “stomach flu,” which manifests as symptoms like nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

What Causes It?

The influenza virus is transmitted through airborne droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
